WRITING

Nicole began her journalism career in celebrity, entertainment and lifestyle reporting in 2013 and has written for the likes of The Washington Post, Refinery29, Metro.co.uk, The Sun, Harper’s Bazaar, and Cosmopolitan. 

In 2024, she published her first book, The Half of It: Exploring the Mixed-Race Experience with co-author Emma Slade Edmondson. The book is a reflection on what it means to be mixed in the modern world, exploring race and identity through the nuances of the mixed-race experience, borne out of a desire to speak directly to the community. 

She also publishes a weekly Substack newsletter, The Noteworthy, for curious readers, sensitive souls and anyone looking for a bit of hope through sharing personal essays as well as edits of what she is reading, watching, listening to, and wearing.
